2 & 4 year old check ups!

We had a morning full of doctor's visits last Monday!

We started off with Tatem's 2 year and Landrie's 4 year well checks!  The girls loved wearing their "gowns," even though Tatem's only lasted about 2 minutes!  I think she's trying to tell me how old she is in this picture. :)  Both girls are healthy head to toe and measured in the 80th percentile for height!  Their doctor said it looks like they'll be tall like their mama!  

Then, it was time for the shots...

We'd been practicing at home for about a week, especially since I'd heard that the 4 year shots are a bear!  I was SO surprised that Landrie barely even blinked!  She didn't shed one tear.  Tatem, on the other hand, was screaming before I even laid her on the table.  She saw what happened to Landrie and wanted no part of it!  Both girls were extremely happy with their new bandaids, and wore them ALL week long!  

Then, we were off in a race to get to my doctor in time!  The girls usually stay with a friend, but with so many appointments, they end up coming to quite a few.  My favorite moment so far was a few weeks ago.  I shared it on facebook earlier, but if I don't put it on here, I'll forget it!

 At my sonogram, I was explaining everything on the screen to Landrie.  She LOVED seeing her tiniest baby sister wiggle and kick, but her eyes got REALLY big when a baby cried in another room nearby.  "I hear her, mama!!!"

The girls are SO in love with their baby sister!  It's a good thing too, because in 3 weeks and one day, she will be HERE!!  Eek!

It's a BIRTHDAY Party!!

This year my babies turned 2 and 4!!  We did a breakfast party at a local park with a splash pad.  The girls and their friends had a ball. :)

Matching HOT pink swimsuits were the smartest thing I've gotten them all year.  I can find them anywhere!

Landrie and Tatem LOVE to go to Shipleys for donuts, so it was a perfect way to start the party!  

Then the kids ran off to play!  The girls love their cousins Gramm and Tucker!

Landrie jumped right in!

Miss Hollywood froze in the spray, but was off running most of the time!

Oh, how they played!!  Between friends, their siblings and cousins, our guests were babies up to 13 year olds, and they all loved it. :)

These girls have way too many sweet friends that are boys to do a girlie party!

Oh, yes.  I did.  I served donuts AND cupcakes.  Landrie requested "pink cupcakes with sprinkles for the girls and chocolate ones for the boys and a cake with my name on it."  I convinced her to have the cake later!  We were all sugared up!!

So excited!!

Landrie's birth mom Brianna and her daughter Brynn woke up extra early to make the looong drive in from Oklahoma.  We were so happy to have them celebrate with us!  We got to go out to lunch after the party and get a little more time together too. :)

When we started singing to Tatem, she was a little overwhelmed!  Last year, she cried. 

 (Maybe that's because I got her up in the middle of her nap to eat cake last year!)

Mark's sisters were there to celebrate!  My sister in law was there too, but I don't have a good picture of her!

That night, the celebration continuted (my neice and I and the girls all have birthdays within 2 weeks!!) at my brother's house.  Fearless Tatem jumped right off the diving board!

Landrie was much more content to be held by her cousin Abbie. :)  

When I asked Landrie what her favorite part of her party was, I expected her to say, "DONUTS!!!"  Instead, I was so thankful to hear her say, "I loved all my friends, Mama!"  We are so thankful that God has put such sweet friends in our girls' lives!  

Tatem Rose and Landrie Grace, we absolutely adore you!!  Happy Birthday to our precious girls!!
