When I took the original picture, Landrie's adoption wasn't final yet, so I couldn't post pictures on the blog or facebook yet. I was SO excited about my ADORABLE little one that I posted this post and lots of you emailed or facebooked and asked me to email the picture. That just made my day. :) I love sharing the joy of being Landrie and Tatem's mom with all of you!!

Candy Corn Flashback!
When tiny Landrie was just 4 weeks old, I set her up on the ottoman and sprinkled candy corn all around her, just like any first time mom celebrating her baby's first holiday would. :) The picture is up in the girls' playroom, and Landrie thinks it's just the funniest thing! She kept saying, "Mommy, you put candy all around my head and I wear a white shirt, like this??" I told her we totally could. :) She held really still and just giggled through the whole thing. One of her favorite parts was wearing Tatem's baby headband!

Pumpkin Patch HOT...or cold?
Pumpkin Patch HOT
Pumpkin Patch COLD
Pumpkin Patch in Texas,
Never know what it'll hold!
We went to the pumpkin patch twice this year. On Monday, it was ridiculously hot, and we wistfully wished that our kiddos could have worn cute long- sleeved fall stuff.
On Friday? Well, we almost cancelled because the windchill never got out of the 40s! In Texas, in October, that's cause enough to stay home. :)
My little pumpkin!
Tatem was glad to be out of her stroller and climbing around this year.
Twinkies!
Same leg kicked out, leaned on their left arm, staring at the same spot. :)
Love her!
I think this was around the time we started offering Smarties for smiles!
Tatem still takes a morning nap, so I brought Baby so we could push through. Anyone else have a thumb-sucker who only sucks her thumb with a lovey (or hair twirl)? It seems like a lot of our friends' kids do. So sweet.
Of course they loved playing in the jail/playhouse!
I love you, girls!!
The hay maze was a little stressful! All I could see was the tip of her green bow over the top of the bales of hay. Apparently, other parents had the same problem because they had a step ladder set up so you could find your babies! Landrie started off really fearful and timid, but a few friends joined her and she was soon giggling and running around in there!
This was like one of those strategy games where you move one piece and you have to move another. Landrie just rearranged them all over. :)
She was so excited to see the Dora cutout from last year!
Speaking of last year, look how little they were!
Landrie got a big kick out of the horses eating whole pumpkins. :)
A few days later, we were all bundling up to brave the elements!
She went through the preschool hay maze, and it was MUCH better. :)
Look at Tatem's little pink nose!
My giggly girls. :)
Another picture with my sweet girls!
By the end, Tatem was snuggled in the stroller with Landrie's big hat, 2 blankets and a snack. She was a happy baby!
See y'all next year!

Future Horned Frog??
Our friends so sweetly shared their TCU football tickets with us! We decided it would be a perfect daddy/daughter date. Landrie had a BALL and couldn't stop talking about it. A few days later, Mark was watching football on TV and she freaked out. "LOOK, Daddy!! It's football like you and me at the football game!!!!" It was as if she thought the game that they went to was the only football game in the world. :)
Landrie's helping me with this post, so I'll let her do the talking!
Landrie's helping me with this post, so I'll let her do the talking!
"I'm smiling! At the football game!"
"We went to the football game! We say 'GO TEAM! GO TEAM! GO TEAM!'"
(Mark said she carefully watched the fans and put her hands up too. Then she put up just a few fingers, like she was 2 years old. Finally, she got it and curled her little fingers like the fans around her. She was so proud!)
"I eat a donut! I eat a prent-zel. A BIG prent-zel, Mommy!"
"There's a sucker at the FOOTBALL GAMMMMMMME!"
(I packed some treats and toys to keep her entertained. :) )
"Where's the tall TV, Mommy?"
"Look at the picture! We went to football game!"
I'm so glad our baby had a great time with her daddy, but let's be honest. She can't go to TCU! She's a future Aggie, y'all!

Tea Party in Grapvine
They had a million outfits for the girls, and our babies wasted no time trying them on!
Oh seriously! Landrie was in heaven!
Do you see all those dresses and hats? I think the girls tried on each and every one. :)
If only they would have had some accessories!
Loving every minute!
Landrie got her hair into a princess 'do.
No hair style is complete without a tiny crown and pink glitter hair spray. Oh yes, I think her face says it all!
The front of the tea room is a little boutique where the girls pretended to shop!
Landrie has a Dora mermaid doll she loves, so she was thrilled to find a mermaid costume!
Then it was time for the pink princess tea and cupcakes. One of the little girls realized these cubes were actually edible sugar! Our crew cleaned out an entire bowl of them. haha!
She just ate her first sugar cube from a spoon with a tea cup on it while wearing a costume while drinking pink tea. Yes, she's happy!
Tatem relaxed in the stroller for most of the party, since it was during her nap time, but she got out an explored too. :)
"Raise your hand if you'd like a cupcake!"
Since all of them had birthdays within a few months, they gave each girl a candle in her cupcake and sang happy birthday. So cute!
I would have loved a place like this as a little girl!
