Baby Dedication Part III- The Dedication and Brunch!

On Sunday morning, we had Landrie's baby dedication!  We are SO thankful that God has entrusted us with this gift, and we are committed to raising her in a Christian home and teaching her about God.

5 Love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength. 6These commandments that I give you today are to be upon your hearts. 7 Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up.   Deuteronomy 6:5-7 (NIV)

Kym Tucker took pictures of the baby dedication for all the families.  You did a great job, Kym!!  If you want to see all of the baby dedication/Kid Weekend pictures she took, check them out here.

Mark and I joined several other couples and our pastor prayed over our families.  It was such a special time!  I love that we dedicated Landrie on the same weekend as many of her little baby friends!

Uncle Kevin entertained Landrie before church.  She's wearing the her great-grandpa's christening gown!   Click here to read and see who else wore it on their special day.

After the dedication, we headed back to our house for a family brunch.  Mark's parents MawMaw and PonPon came all the way from Florida for this special weekend!

GranJan and P-Pa loved on Landrie too!

Some of Landrie's aunts and uncles were able to come celebrate with us.
Greg, Megan (Mark's sister), Mark, Landrie, me, Christy and Kevin (my brother)

Proud Daddy and Mommy with our sweet baby!

Adelynn, McKinnan, Colson, Tucker, Abbie, Landrie, Cade and Anna played all day!

Landrie got a new push toy that her favorite grandpas put together.  We were shocked when she pulled herself up on it and started walking behind it!!!  I was in the kitchen, and all of the sudden everyone started yelling for me to look!  She started pulling up on the couch just a few days ago, but I couldn't believe she could walk like that.  It must be because she's holding her tongue just right. :)

Brunch time!  Christy and Mark's parents

Little kids' table

Grown up kids bar :)
(You remember being too big for one table and too bored at the grown up table, right?)

Landrie joined the adults because she DID NOT NAP at all until everyone left!  She couldn't stand to miss a minute of excitement!

PonPon and his tiniest granddaughter

Landrie wasn't in the 90 year old gown for long on Sunday, so I put it on her again on Monday and snapped a few quick shots!

Standing up!  (with a little help from Mom!)

She's so much harder to photograph now that she's mobile!  She holds still for about 1.2 seconds.  I had to include this one to remember that Landrie is officially CRAWLING!  She still likes to scoot and roll, but she can crawl like a champ now!  I ended up with lots of shots with her sitting up and my hand on her belly trying to keep her from crawling away. :)

We loved all of our time with family this weekend.  When Landrie's a little older, I would love to have a party TWICE as big to celebrate when Landrie becomes a Christian and gets baptized!!

We are so thankful for the amazing Christian parents that we had growing up, and we hope that we teach Landrie about her heavenly father and his love!

6 Train a child in the way he should go,

and when he is old he will not turn from it.

Proverbs 22:6 (NIV)

In case you missed them...
