Yes, before Mark raced me to the ER, we had a fantastic vacation! We are so thankful that we got to spend great time with Mark's parents and at the beach before all the craziness began!
New Symrna is one of the closest beaches to Orlando, and it's beautiful!

We took a day trip to St. Augustine, the OLDEST city in the United States. (and home to the World Golf Hall of Fame and Fountain of Youth!) We unintentionally wore some patriotic colors to celebrate that bit of history!
I love my giggly little cutie! She just recently started being ticklish, and I can't get enough of hearing that infectious giggle!

This spoon in Landrie's oatmeal about sums up life for Landrie after surgery. When you are with your grandparents for 22 DAYS in a row, you are bound to get a little bit spoiled. Aren't these sample spoons perfect for travel?
Every Saturday morning they took our little munchkin to get a Munchkin at Dunkin' Donuts. Could her face be any more priceless??

We even got to celebrate Pon Pon's birthday while we were there. Landrie clapped for him while we sang!
She went to church each Sunday with her grandparents and met lots of new friends.
As we were packing, Mark's mom remarked, "Landrie sure is going to miss you guys!"
Well, somehow we managed to pry Landrie from their arms and take her home with us. We can't say thank you enough for taking such great care of us while I recovered from surgery! Once a parent, always a parent, right?? :)

I would never in a million years wish what you went through on anyone EVER, BUT if there is a silver lining it would be the precious time that Marks parents got to spend with Landrie! What a bonding experience!
