The week leading up to Mother's Day Brianna was on my mind a lot. If God had not brought Brianna into our lives, and she was not obedient to Him, we would not be loving on Landrie today! We sent Brianna some Mother's Day cookies to let her know we love her!!
On Sunday morning I woke up an hour late and immediately rolled over to tell Mark that we had to get Landrie up! He was missing... It turns out he got up crazy early that morning to go shopping for breakfast supplies. Then he fed Landrie so I could sleep in! He and Landrie cooked a yummy breakfast for me.
Landrie got me beautiful flowers and...
...a card that she decorated all by herself!
Then we headed off to church as a family OF THREE! :) Our pastor, Brandon, asked all of the moms to stand. I couldn't believe it! I cried as I stood, and it wasn't that movie star cry. It was definitely the ugly cry. :) I was overwhelmed with thankfulness and joy for our precious baby girl!! Our pastor prayed the most beautiful prayer over all the women there, and he included women who are still "longing" for a baby and those who adopted too! We were sitting with our friends, the Rinns, who also adopted this past year. I am so happy for you guys! And to our friends who are still waiting, we are still praying for your babies too!
She is so amazing!
Landrie Grace, it is an honor to be your mommy. We've prayed for you for countless years, and I am SO thankful to hold you in my arms!!! Being your mom is a dream come true!
To my mom and Mark's mom,
I don't think either of us could have realized just how deep a parent's love is until we held Landrie Grace. We love you, and THANK YOU for everything you've done for us. We are blessed to have such AMAZING moms!!
