Sea Otters, Sting Rays and Dolphins, Oh My!

After we left Granny's house, we headed south to Corpus Christi to visit Nonny!

Nonny, Landrie, Baby Sister and me

Landrie LOVES to visit Nonny!  She's quite comfy relaxing on the deck!

Here she is lounging a year ago!

If you go to Corpus, you HAVE to check out the Texas State Aquarium there!  We went on a weekday, and had the place almost to ourselves!  I guess it pays to travel after spring breaks are over.

I got to pet some sting rays.  Landrie couldn't quite reach them, but she happily put her hands in the water and promptly stuck her salty hands in her mouth. (every time!) EWWW!!  The worker said it was pumped in from the bay, so I guess it's just like getting a mouthful at the beach, but YUCK!

During the dolphin show, Landrie wasn't a big fan of the big stadium, but much preferred to go underground and watch them from just inches away.  She was completely enamored!

There was one exhibit that we came back to over and over.  Wouldn't you if your baby girl was this excited?

It was the river otters!!  They were hilarious and zoomed all around their tank.

We spent lots of time relaxing at Nonny's house too.  While we were there, the Corpus Christi Air Show was going on.  We had great seats right on the couch.  It was so loud even from inside the house!  I think the Blue Angels were a few feet above her roof!

A very sleepy Landrie reading with her "Nonna."  She can't quite say Nonny yet!

Of course we visited Cole Park, right on the bay.

"Let's scare those sea gulls, Dada!"

We went out to Snoopy's Pier for dinner one night and ate dinner on the water.  At the beginning of April, it was a bit chilly!  Nonny and Mark loved their seafood, and this non-seafood lover had an amazing hamburger.

Next door there's an ice cream shop where we always have to stop on the way back from the beach.  I think it's called "Scoopy's." :)

"Nonny, you're too funny!"

I think she ran back and forth on this balcony 100 times!

Nonny wanted a belly shot!  I was about 19 weeks here.

Another great family vacation!
(This was Landrie's face after we told her how long the drive home was going to be!)

On the way home she was entertained with her box o' toys, eating her toes (??!) and with a little dvd player we borrowed.  Yup, we've already purchased our own for our next few trips we have planned!  Those things are genius!

Thank you for a wonderful trip, Nonny!  We love you!
